Creating opportunities for Broken Hill

We are proud to financially support important community organisations such the Clontarf Foundation, St Vincents De Paul and the Salvation Army.

As our presence in the community continues to expand with our project construction and operation, we look forward to continuing our support and partnership with these organisations as well as bring hundreds of high-paying jobs to the community.

NAIDOC Week 2025: The Next Generation – Strength, Vision, Legacy

This NAIDOC Week, the Silver City Advanced Compressed Air Energy Storage (A-CAES) facility acknowledges the Wilyakali and Barkindji peoples, Traditional Custodians of the lands around Broken Hill. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and honour their enduring connection to Country.

As we enter 2025, NAIDOC Week marks 50 years of recognising and celebrating the strength, culture, and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year’s theme, “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy,” honours past achievements and looks ahead to a future shaped by the leadership and aspirations of young First Nations people. Hydrostor acknowledges the importance of walking alongside Indigenous communities in supporting that future.

As development progresses on the Silver City facility, transforming the historic Potosi Mine into a renewable energy hub, we are guided by the legacy of the land and inspired by the strength and vision of First Nations communities. We stand in support of the next generation, and a future grounded in respect, sustainability, and self-determination.
